Model Behavior

Happy Sunday everyone! I have to say that I have not left my apartment all weekend and it has been bliss. I didn’t know how badly I needed to loaf until I was given the opportunity to do so. It has been raining all weekend here in Dallas. In fact, I am just now seeing a bit of sunshine peeping through the clouds. Despite my uneventful weekend, a lot has been going on. I don’t know if I have shared this with all of you, but in addition to being an awesome Girl Friday at the Army and Air Force Exchange, I am also an Ad and Fit model for the Softlines division. It is loads of fun and I have been grateful and fortunate to have the experience.
Last month we shot a short ad for the autumn, misses line. It was the coolest thing. We went all around Dallas shooting, and everything was captured with a tiny GoPro camera. If you’ve never heard of a GoPro…Google them! They are awesome and so compact. The camera was attached to the end of a hula hoop that I am the other models jumped through, like a jump rope, while film was rolling. It was over 90 degrees that day and we were wearing autumn apparel, blazing hot but so much fun! We were recently posted to YouTube and I have included the video below so you guys can check it out. (I am the one with the Afro…lol!)
About two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting another Exchange ad with the lovely Steven Kemble. Steven is a Dallas based fashion, lifestyles, and event guru. For those of you who live in Dallas you may have heard him on 103.7 Lite FM. He was amazing! One of the most fun, energetic persons I have ever been around. He did the Exchange a huge favor by making an appearance in our ad. He graciously agreed to do so even though he was running off to another shoot with D Magazine the same day.
I am not thinking of changing careers just yet, but I am so glad I get to participate in these things. It makes for one hell of an upgrade on my resume! Hope all of you have had a wonderful weekend.
